Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters 5+1 Program offers a guaranteed postdoctoral fellowship for any student who finishes and submits their dissertation in five years. This one-year postdoctoral fellowship includes salary, funds for professional development, and the same benefits as Notre Dame staff. The experience that 5+1 fellows get during their postdoctoral year strengthens their candidacy on the job market—whether in the academy or out of it.
